A great summer event for Irish Horse Gateway is the Dublin Horse Show where the team from the Irish Horse Gateway will be at the Horse Sport Ireland Stand C4/C5 in the main hall. Horse Show week is a great opportunity for catching up in person with breeders and producers and international friends of the Irish horse.
This is the show 140th year and for Irish breeders and producers it remains one of the biggest dates in the equestrian calendar. Ireland is well known internationally as a country steeped in the tradition, heritage and passion of the horse. This ongoing passion is packed into 5 days from 7th August to 11th August at the Discover Ireland, Dublin Horse Show in Ballsbridge , situated only 10 minutes from the capital city, Dublin.
The first show was held in 1864 under the auspices of the Society but organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland, where the show was held on the grounds of the Duke of Leinster’s Dublin Residence, Leinster House at Merrion Square.
Horses of a lifetime at a touch of a button
The show relocated to a Greenfield site in Ballsbridge 1881. Each year as one of Ireland’s largest events, it welcomes tens of thousands of Irish and international visitors to enjoy a great week of equestrianism at the beautiful historic grounds of the Royal Dublin Society (RDS).
The Dublin Horse Show continues to be a timeless celebration of equestrianism from the best of show horses and ponies to the best of international showjumping and is an event not to be missed.
